Hey everyone,
Emma here. Where have I been? Locked. IN. That’s where. So I thought I’d hand over to an established newsletter supporter for a guest edition of Emma’s Important Updates. This newsletter is curated by none other than Baby! If you don’t know who baby is, now you do.
Welcome Baby and take the stage please.

Baby travels everywhere with me! Literally, as baby lives in my car, also named Baby. Which came first? The baby, or baby? A deep question. Where should Baby travel next? We are thinking…. Broome? Leave your suggestions below.
Anyway now that all the FAKE newsletter fans are gone, I can truly get into the real stuff. Team, I seriously have been locked in. Aka trying to go gym at least twice/week, eat more polyphenols (learnt about this recently from naturopath), go to pilates, teach pilates, be social with my friends, go on random first, second OR third dates….. go for a walk outside, do a meditation, sleep 8 hours or more, teach more pilates, cook fuckn dinner and breakfast abd lunch, my mortal enemy, drink tea, and ofc go to the shops and eat more food. And drink less coffee all on top of that. What the hell!
TOPGYM brunswick has gained a new member, and it’s me. Naz inspired me after he decided to also lock in, and do a level of 75 medium and go to our local gym which is only 14 bucks a week. No lock in contract either. Huge Win. After he told me that the gym actually used to be a club, of course I went straight down and signed up. Since I haven’t been fkd to go OUT and be wild recently, I feel this is the closest I’ll get to the clurbbbbb. It also really just adds to the weird vibes knowing it was a club. I am chasing those weird and mysterious vibes at the moment, hence the lack of newsletter updates too. You can def tell it was a club too. There’s a ghetto ass fish tank in the middle, and some hectic red lounge features. On the level of locking in I’ve also started taking creatine, so don’t be alarmed if next time you see me I’m hench. Allegedly (factually) creatine is also great for your brain so I might become more intelligent finally.
I have done some fun things recently. Celia, Archie and I made homemade pesto and gnocchi a few weeks ago which was so fun, and very tasty. Celia and I visited the flower show as my sister was working and we managed to score free tickets, which was a win cause I didn’t know it was 40 bucks otherwise. It reminded me of my dear friend Scarlett over in London, who is also an amazing florist. Non subtle plug but this is her insta . We also had a sunday roast last weekend, which was delicious.
The show inspired my green thumb and as a result, I’ve pruned our outrageously overgrown lavender bushes, planted some random herbs and am trying to propagate my monstera, and also some rosemary. Been drinking lots of matcha recently, and the plan is to try all within the Brunswick region. So far, I’ve tried 4 places. Stay tuned for my matcha review coming soon. More matcha because less coffee basically.

We have been outside and barefoot (2025 in) doing a lot of PARK pilates! Which has been so fun, and I’ve been really enjoying teaching some mat classes as well as reformer. If you didn’t know, I did my mat training in feb and am now finishing my practise teaching hours. R u interested in joining our sessions? Please comment “JOSEPH PILATES” in the comments and I’ll keep you in the loop. Sometimes we have dogs join in which is really cute, and then occasionally we spend money at wildlife after and get coffee. It’s actually such a great way to start the day. Outside energy.
Matisse… a invested newsletter subscriber, moved to broome which is crazy but amazing. So naturally we channeled our inner Carrie Bradshaw, Aiden and Big, and served sexy and cosmo for her going away. Hi Matisse I know ur reading this, miss you. TBH, Carrie walked so I could run.

In huge news, I tried A1 Bakery for the first time. WOW! It was still only a simple Za’atar flatbread, because alas I still am on the NONG (no onion no garlic) grind…. but in big news hopefully this isn’t the case after next month! My new naturopath is one if the big reasons I’m locked the heck in, because this time i’m serious about fixing my issues. Not the mental ones, just the tummy ones. 🤣 Kidding. Not! I also feel like after Japan and then GP backing that up, I seriously needed some TLC and less beers. Less, not none. So anyway back to A1, that’s why up until recently I’d never tried. Because all the tasty stuff would hurt my tummy, so why bother. Now that I’ve had the first taste, I am eager to try more. But yeh fingers crossed, positive vibes for tummy only.
I also got an amazing FREE cactus off FB marketplace and now I am looking for more to join my garden. I found a really cool one that’s sorta blue, but sorry since when are cactus so expensive? 90 BUCKS! In this economy?
OMG. Huge news. I scoured a grailed vintage item. A quick refresher, but when i was in London last year I made the most silly decision to not purchase my dream vintage gucci sunglasses. I regretted that so bad, and I still do. Anyway I discovered the style number and every now and then, I would scour every platform possible for these sunglasses, in any colour. And finally, the thrift gods heard my cries and I FOUND them, in an amazing green colour. The gucci shaped hole in my heart, as been filled. Feels good.
This week lokey crazy with work and stuff and then thank goodness it’s easter long weekend after that. And you know what’s after that….? My. Birthday.
Here are some recommendations of things lately I have consumed.
To WATCH: Last one Laughing, the UK version. OHHHH my god im obsessed with Bob mortimer? He’s so funny. This show had me loling.
To EAT: Olives from Psarakos
To LISTEN:
